7 Artists Every Charlottean Should Meet This Summer

Seven artists-in-residence, mostly based in and around Charlotte, arrive at McColl Center for Art + Innovation this summer to take risks in their creative processes, explore their ideas within the context of our city, and connect with an engaged public through relevant, diverse, and accessible experiences. Their residencies begin on May 29, 2018.

Of note: Eliana Arenas returns for her second residency; Sam Van Aken is our exhibiting artist-in-residence; Julio Gonzalez wraps up an 11-month residency on August 10, 2018; and Antoine Williams begins an 11-month residency that ends on April 30, 2019.

Come through and say hello to each of them at our Open House on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m.
